Laura Mercier Myth Rouge Nouveau Weightless Lip Colour
Laura Mercier Myth Rouge Nouveau Weightless Lip Colour

Laura Mercier Myth Rouge Nouveau Weightless Lip Colour ($25.00 for 0.06 oz.) is described as a “plum rose.” It’s a reddish plum with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish. Givenchy Violine Precieux (312) (LE, $36.00) is very similar. Tom Ford Beauty Casablanca (P, $45.00) is more muted, less red. MAC Deliciously Forbidden (LE, $16.00) is slightly more plum. MAC Craving (P, $16.00) is more muted, less red. See comparison swatches.

The texture is lightly creamy, smooth, and glides right onto the lips without dragging or pulling. There are three types of finishes in this formula, and Myth is matte (Laura Mercier made it easy to remember–the first letter of the name corresponds with the finish, e.g. M for Matte). It’s comfortable to wear for the five hours it lasts, though I would say it is only lightly hydrating. It had excellent full color coverage, but the selling feature of this formula is really how lightweight it feels when worn. You still get the coverage of a traditional matte lipstick, but it doesn’t cling or feel heavy at all. It has no discernible scent or taste. The one knock I have against this product is the size–it’s a mere 0.06 oz., and the average lipstick hovers between 0.10 and 0.12 oz. Even for formulas I’ve seen in the slimmer, twist-up bullets, product size is around 0.08 oz.

Laura Mercier Spring 2014 Artist Eyeshadow Palette
Laura Mercier Spring 2014 Artist Eyeshadow Palette

Laura Mercier Spring 2014 Artist Eyeshadow Palette ($80.00 for 0.41 oz.) includes twelve eyeshadows (0.03 oz. each), miniature-sized Caviar Stick in Cocoa, (0.03 oz.) and miniature-sized Full Blown Volume Mascara in Black (0.20 oz.). It’s a nice palette overall, and if you’re a fan of more neutral, muted colors with matte and satin finishes, you’ll probably get a lot of use out of this one. The downside is that if you don’t love or use the included minis, then this palette is significantly less value-packed than the last two editions of it. The only overlap with holiday’s palette is with Guava and African Violet. Generally, the eyeshadows had good color payoff, soft, smooth textures, and wore eight and a half hours before fading or creasing.

During the holidays, when Laura Mercier released the holiday Artist Eyeshadow Palette, it sold out quickly and was difficult to track down. It’s not at all a surprise that this is still around over a month later, because the $80 price tag of spring’s palette, compared to the holiday palette’s price of $48, makes it difficult to justify–even if Laura Mercier wants us to feel like we’re getting our value because they’ve included a miniature-sized Caviar Stick and Mascara. Laura Mercier says that the palette has a value of $120. Based on what’s included, the set includes $92.00 worth of eyeshadow, $10.40 worth of Caviar Stick, $12.00 worth of mascara, which is $114.40–shy of $120. I think it was a very shortsighted move to significantly increase the price of the palette and tossing in two minis, because the palette is the star attraction–the other two items are just bonuses, and at the end of the day, I don’t think they justify the $32 price hike, because you’re really not getting more value, you’re just buying more products and paying that price for them. If they had made the palette closer to $60 and included both minis, I think it would have sold better. Make no mistake: you are paying real money to get those minis, they’re not just toss-ins; it ends up looking like a way of justifying that $80 price tag to customers.

Noir is described as a “deepest black [with a Matte finish].” It’s a medium-dark black with neutral-to-warm undertones and a matte finish. It had fairly good color payoff, but it could have been a bit more pigmented. The texture was soft and blendable, and the color lasted well for eight and a half hours. There are many black eyeshadows just like it — see comparison swatches.

Deep Night is described as a “deep black navy [with a Matte finish].” It’s a blackened navy that leans almost purple with a matte finish. It had decent pigmentation, though it could have been more intense. It was more buildable, though, so you could achieve truer-to-pan color with a few layers. The color wore well for just over eight and a half hours. Wet ‘n’ Wild I’m His Breezey #3 (P, $2.29) is less pigmented. bareMinerals Maven (LE) is slightly bluer. NARS Kamchatka (P, $24.00) is lighter. MAC Naval (LE, $15.00) is lighter. See comparison swatches.

Coffee Ground is described as a “cool charcoal brown [with a Matte finish].” It’s a medium-dark, cool-toned brown with a matte finish. It had good color payoff, and the texture was soft and smooth without being powdery. It wore well for eight and a half hours. Too Faced Triple Fudge (P, $16.00) is darker. Laura Mercier Espresso (LE, $23.00) is darker. bareMinerals Boardroom (LE) is darker. MAC Brun (P, $15.00) is similar. Inglot #363 (P, $6.00) is very similar. Bobbi Brown Hot Stone (LE, $22.00) is slightly cooler-toned. See comparison swatches.

Cafe au Lait is described as a “neutral caramel beige [with a Matte finish].” It’s a medium brown with subtle, warm yellow undertones and a matte finish. It had excellent pigmentation, and the texture was soft and silky. It wore well for nine hours. Sleek MakeUP Entwined (P, $9.99) is more shimmery, darker. Makeup Geek Latte (P, $5.99) is warmer. Chanel Charming #2 (LE) is very similar. Too Faced Chocolate Milk (LE, $16.00) is lighter. Bobbi Brown Frappe (LE, $22.00) is lighter. LORAC Taupe (P) is very similar. Burberry Pale Nude #1 (P) is more shimmery. Inglot #357 (P, $6.00) is warmer. See comparison swatches.

Ginger is described as a “light neutral peach [with a Matte finish].” It’s a soft, light-medium orange with a matte finish. It had really nice color payoff, and the consistency of the powder was soft, smooth, and easy to blend. The color wore well for almost eight and a half hours. Anastasia Orange Soda (LE) is more orange. Kat Von D Geek (LE) is more shimmery. Bobbi Brown Terracotta (LE, $22.00) is darker. See comparison swatches.

Buttercream is described as a “light neutral yellow [with a Matte finish].” It’s a pale, neutral-to-warm beige with a matte finish. It had fairly good pigmentation, and the texture was very soft and silky, though it almost looked chalky on my medium complexion (should be fine on fairer skin tones). It wore well for eight hours. It’s another basic shade, so there are plenty of similar shades out there — see comparison swatches.

Diamond Pink is a brightened, pinky-white with a metallic finish. This is a limited edition shade (exclusive to the palette) and has a Luster finish, officially. It had good color payoff, and the texture was soft but not quite as smooth as other shades in the palette. I noticed a smidgen of fall out over time with this color but not too much, otherwise the wear was eight and a half hours. This shade is surprisingly common to see, so there are quite a few that are very close (with minor differences, like a fraction lighter/darker/more metallic) — see comparison swatches.

Guava is described as a “peach stucco [with a Sateen finish].” It’s a light-medium, peachy-pink with warm undertones and a soft, golden sheen. The texture was incredibly soft and smooth, while the color payoff was good. It wore well for eight and a half hours on me. theBalm #14 (P, $6.50) is lighter. Too Faced Ringleader (LE, $16.00) is similar. Wet ‘n’ Wild Newport Nights #2 (LE) is less shimmery. MAC Dynamic Duo 1 #1 (LE, $15.00) is similar. Le Metier de Beaute Nouvelle (LE, $30.00) is lighter. bareMinerals Custom Made (LE) is less golden. See comparison swatches.

Sable is described as a “cool grey taupe [with a Sateen finish].” It’s a medium-dark, cool-toned taupe with a soft, pearly finish. It had decent color payoff, but it was a little stiffer than the other shades in the palette, though it lasted for almost nine hours applied to the lid. Bobbi Brown Smokey Grey (LE, $21.00) is darker. NARS Lhasa (P, $24.00) is similar. MAC Shale (P, $15.00) is darker. MAC Stolen Moment (LE, $19.50) is darker. Giorgio Armani Shimmer Greige (LE) is lighter. See comparison swatches.

African Violet is described as a “violet copper shimmer [with a Luster finish].” It’s a cool-toned, medium-dark plum with a golden shimmer-sheen. The texture was a little drier with larger shimmer particles, so it didn’t apply as smoothly. This shade wore well for eight and a half hours. theBalm #2 (P, $6.50) is darker. Fyrinnae Meerkat (Pressed) (P, $8.25) is darker. MAC Pinkluxe #3 (P) is darker, cooler-toned. MAC Neo Nebula (LE, $21.00) is less golden. See comparison swatches.

Violet Steel is a cool-toned, purplish-taupe with a frosted sheen. It has a Luster finish, officially, and is limited edition/exclusive to this palette. It had good pigmentation, and the texture was soft and smooth. This shade wore well for nine hours. Urban Decay Darkside (P, $18.00) is less shimmery. MAC Graphic Style (LE, $15.00) is similar. Urban Decay Armor (LE, $18.00) is grayer. MAC Moth Brown (LE, $15.00) is less shimmery, grayer. MAC Stolen Moment (LE, $19.50) is darker. See comparison swatches.

Rich Cocoa is a dark, warm-toned brown with bronze shimmer and a satin finish . It has a Sateen finish, officially. It had so-so color payoff, but the consistency was dry and powdery, so it wasn’t as easy to apply as the other shades. Urban Decay Twice Baked (P, $18.00) is lighter. MAC Carbonized (LE, $15.00) is darker. Dior Fairy Golds #5 (LE) is more shimmery. Burberry Dark Spice #2 (P) is darker. Bobbi Brown Cocoa (P, $22.00) is darker, less shimmery. See comparison swatches.

Cocoa (Caviar Stick) is a medium-dark, chocolate brown with warm, yellowy undertones and a satin-matte finish. It had excellent color payoff, applied smoothly, and wore well for nine hours without creasing or fading. Bobbi Brown Cocoa (P, $22.00) is darker, powder. LORAC Sable (P) is slightly darker, powder. Bobbi Brown Bittersweet (LE, $28.00) is very similar. MAC Dark Brew (P, $15.00) is more shimmery, powder. See comparison swatches.

Full Blown Volume Lash Building Mascara is supposed to thicken, lengthen, curl, and sculpt lashes. For me, it did all those things about average or a little better–a good mascara but not life-changing. I would say it does more to thicken than it does to lengthen. I didn’t have any smudging or flaking, and it was easy enough to remove.

Laura Mercier Bare Baby Lip Glace
Laura Mercier Bare Baby Lip Glace

This spring, there are thirteen new shades of Laura Mercier Lip Glace ($25.00 for 0.15 fl. oz.) being added to the permanent range. The new shades are supposed to be richer in color with the same “megawatt shine,” “nonsticky” texture, and hydrating formula. I tested two shades, Bare Baby and Poppy, yesterday. The formula is lightweight, not too thin or too thick, glossy, lightly hydrating, and non-sticky. There’s a burnt sugar/caramel-like scent to the gloss, but I didn’t notice any taste.

Bare Baby Lip Glace is a milky, pink-peach with white shimmer. It had semi-opaque color coverage, but it did settle into lip lines, and it didn’t evenly apply. I think this shade would be better applied over a lipstick for added warmth and lightening. It wore well for two and a half hours. Chanel Rosace (87) (LE, $27.00) is sheerer. YSL Nude Carat (No. 20) (P, $32.00) is lighter. Maybelline Petal Plush (100) (P, $8.99) is brighter. MAC Picture Pink (LE, $15.00) is also brighter. MAC Demure (LE, $20.00) is sheerer. Guerlain Rose in Bloom (LE, $32.00) is cooler-toned. Bobbi Brown Pink Sorbet (P, $24.00) is darker, pinker. See comparison swatches.

Poppy Lip Glace is a vibrant, poppy red with warm, orange undertones and a cream finish. It was intensely pigmented, and it applied beautifully. This shade lasted for four and a half hours on me. Illamasqua Touch (P, $22.00) is shimmery. Maybelline Signature Scarlet (020) (P, $8.99) is similar. Revlon Fire (P, $7.49) is also similar. Chanel Exces (P, $32.00) is more muted, sheerer. See comparison swatches.

Laura Mercier Golden Pink Sheer Creme Glow Review, Photos, Swatches

$

Laura Mercier Golden Pink Sheer Creme Glow
Laura Mercier Golden Pink Sheer Creme Glow

Laura Mercier Golden Pink Sheer Creme Glow ($35.00 for 0.28 oz.) is described as a “pinkish gold.” It’s a light pink–almost a cool-toned-pink–with a gold shimmer. Tarina Tarantino Feather (P, $25.00) is a powder, less shimmery. darker. Giorgio Armani Eccentrico (LE, $88.00) is brighter, darker. Milani Dolce Pink (P, $7.99) is a powder, slightly darker. Benefit Sugarbomb (P, $28.00) is a powder. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

It’s a new, limited edition formula/shade that’s supposed to provide a “soft veil of colour.” It’s described as an “ultra-sheer, blendable formula” that leaves the skin looking “soft and highlighted” and should last for eight hours. I wanted to love it, because I’m easily won over by gold-shimmered pinks, but it really emphasized the texture of my skin and the size of my pores. I felt like it just made my cheeks look rather rough, when I know they’re not. I’ve more metallic/frosted powder shades look worse, but for a cream, it wasn’t as forgiving as I expected. The color is sheer, as stated, but it’s quite shimmery, so it will add a sheen to most skin tones, but the pinky color will get lost on deeper skin tones. It was very blendable and easy to apply, and once on, it lasted for seven hours on me.

Laura Mercier Heartbreaker Gel Lip Color
Laura Mercier Heartbreaker Gel Lip Color

Laura Mercier Heartbreaker Gel Lip Color ($23.00 for 0.11 oz.) it’s a light-medium, rosy pink with subtle warm undertones and a luminous sheen. MAC Pinkfringe (LE, $16.00) is more frosted, lighter, cooler-toned. Bobbi Brown Pink Flush (LE, $25.00) is similar. YSL Opera Rose (29) (P, $34.00) is more opaque. YSL Caress Pink (9) (P, $34.00) is darker, more opaque. Buxom Mistress (LE, $21.00) is slightly darker. NYX Paparazzi (P, $4.00) is less glossy. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

For summer, Laura Mercier released four limited edition shades in a new formula, Gel Lip Colour, which is described as “comforting, sheer colour with a shine finish and subtle vanilla flavor,” and unsurprisingly, it’s also supposed to be hydrating. I’ve only tried one shade, so perhaps the others are better, but I didn’t love Heartbreaker. While the consistency was gel-like, felt smooth, and glided on easily, the resulting finish looked uneven, and it seemed to catch on every single imperfection on my lips. I would apply this, and it wouldn’t look right, so I’d apply something else, and that something else looked just fine. This just seemed to accentuate the texture of my lips, and it possibly also “balled” up on itself. It had semi-sheer color coverage, where it provided noticeable color but had a fair amount of translucency so the natural lip color would come through. If you pressed your lips together, it would create unevenness/lines. It had a very subtle vanilla scent that jockeyed with its waxy base, and it had a sweet taste. The color lasted two hours on me, and it was somewhat hydrating while worn.

Laura Mercier Sensual Reflections Cheek Melange Review, Photos, Swatches

Laura Mercier Sensual Reflections Cheek Melange
Laura Mercier Sensual Reflections Cheek Melange

Laura Mercier Sensual Reflections Cheek Melange ($42.00 for TBA oz.) is a light-medium, plummy brown with a soft sheen and neutral-to-warm undertones. Giorgio Armani Light Rose (LE) is darker, more shimmery. NYX Taupe (P, $5.00) is darker, cooler-toned, more matte. NARS Douceur (P, $29.00) is more matte. MAC Baby Don’t Go (P, $23.50) is pinker, more matte. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Launching soon with Laura Mercier’s fall collection, this limited edition Cheek Melange is supposed to “add natural, glowing colour to cheeks … It provides natural radiance to complexion and is designed to complement all skin tones.” If you are light-medium or fairer, you may get slight color out of this, but on my medium complexion, I applied four layers–packed on–and could barely distinguish the color on me. It does, however, add a soft, luminous sheen to the skin without brightening. The powder is somewhat stiff, which contributes to needing to layer it on, though once dislodged from the pan, goes on smoothly and doesn’t look powdery. It seems to add “natural radiance” regardless of skin tone, but it doesn’t add “glowing color” to all skin tones. It doesn’t have any white base to it, so it can be applied to deeper skin tones without looking chalky, but it will be very subtle and produce mostly a soft sheen. The color/sheen lasts for almost eight hours on my skin. There are better, more finely-milled, higher performing highlighters at the $40+ price point, so this left me unimpressed. It’s too bad, because the shade itself is more unusual, so something with more color payoff and a softer texture would have been interesting.

Laura Mercier Desire Lip Glace Review, Photos, Swatches

Laura Mercier Desire Lip Glace
Laura Mercier Desire Lip Glace

Laura Mercier Desire Lip Glace ($25.00 for 0.16 fl. oz.) is described as a “burgundy with shimmer.” It’s a reddish burgundy with warm undertones and violet and fuchsia shimmer. NARS Rouge Tribal (P, $26.00) is darker. MAC Black Tea (LE, $19.00) is cooler-toned. MAC Feelin’ So Good (LE, $15.00) is less shimmery, darker. Bobbi Brown Midnight Violet (P, $24.00) is cooler-toned, darker. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

The Lip Glace formula is supposed to be a “high-shine, perfectly pigmented lip gloss” that “hydrates and protects lips” with a “non-sticky formula.” The color is described as “rich, long-lasting” as well. It had semi-opaque color coverage, so the natural lip color came through but it was visible. The shimmer is on the lighter side, so it is more in the background with this particular shade. Applied, the color didn’t settle too much into lip lines, but the sheerer nature of such a dark shade made it so it didn’t look that even on, either. The gloss felt lightweight, non-sticky, and was lightly hydrating, while it lasted for three and a half hours on me. It had a burnt sugar/caramel scent but no discernible taste.

Unlike cool-toned browns, there’s no shortage of warm-toned browns (seriously, check out this gallery), but here are a few of my very favorites that you can individually and any time you want. I’d love to hear your warmer brown must-haves!

  1. Make Up For Ever D623 Celestial Earth — a rich, bronzy brown with a frosted finish
  2. NARS Fez — a brightened, reddish-orange brown
  3. Laura Mercier Cafe au Lait — a medium, softly warm-toned brown with a matte finish
  4. Makeup Geek Homecoming — a light-medium bronzy brown
  5. Inglot #422 — a rich bronze

Laura Mercier Mini Caviar Stick Eye Colour Quartet Review, Photos, Swatches

Laura Mercier Mini Caviar Stick Eye Colour Quartet
Laura Mercier Mini Caviar Stick Eye Colour Quartet

Laura Mercier Mini Caviar Stick Eye Colour Quartet ($38.00 for 0.12 oz.) includes four, miniature cream eyeshadow pencils. The quartet is/was exclusive to Sephora, and they’re completely sold out online (but it’s possible it’s still available in stores), but just about every other retailer that carries the brand has a six-piece set available. The six-piece set has all four of these shades, plus Copper and Khaki. I really regret not getting the six set now! Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks normally retail for $28/0.05 oz. (or $560/oz.), so the four-piece set is a total value of $67.20, and the six-piece set is a total value of $100.80 (each of these is 0.03 oz.). The formula is touted as “long-wearing, transfer- and crease-resistant” with “rich color payoff.” I really liked this set of four; they worked really well together, but they were creamy, opaque, blendable, and long-wearing. I could actually wear them together as a look, which isn’t always easily achieved with jumbo pencils like these (they often dry down too quickly or work better as sheer washes or eyeshadow bases). All four shades wore well for nine hours before creasing slightly. The only downside is that the kit is pretty warm, and the colors are similar enough that while they blend seamlessly into each other, there isn’t a lot of contrast.

Rosegold is described as a “dirty pink with golden shimmer.” It’s a golden copper with warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It was fully opaque in one stroke and was easy to blend the edges or blend out for a sheerer wash of color. It wore well for nine hours before creasing. See swatches of dupes / view dupes side-by-side.

Moonlight is described as a “pewter.” It’s a golden bronze with a hint of khaki in the undertone. It had a frosted, slightly metallic finish. It had mostly opaque color payoff in a single pass, and the consistency was easily blended on the skin. See swatches of dupes / view dupes side-by-side.

Amethyst is described as a “soft mauve with pearl.” It’s a subtly warm-toned, medium-dark taupe brown with a frosted sheen. It had rich color payoff in one go, while the texture was creamy and glided on beautifully but remained blendable long enough to work with it–yet it didn’t settle into creases either. The color stayed on well for nine hours. See swatches of dupes / view dupes side-by-side.

Cocoa is described as a “chocolate brown.” It’s a dark, yellow-toned brown with very fine bronze pearl, but it has more of a semi-matte finish applied. It had nice pigmentation in one stroke, and it went on evenly. With a deeper shade like this, the ability to blend it out is so important, and I had no issues blending and using it in the crease. See swatches of dupes / view dupes side-by-side.

Laura Mercier Holiday 2014 Artist Palette for Eyes & Cheeks Review, Photos, Swatches

Laura Mercier Holiday 2014 Artist Palette for Eyes & Cheeks
Laura Mercier Holiday 2014 Artist Palette for Eyes & Cheeks

Laura Mercier Holiday 2014 Artist Palette for Eyes & Cheeks ($58.00 for 0.48 oz.) includes eight eyeshadows and one cheek color. The eyeshadows lean slightly cool-toned overall, but the cheek color is really warm, and I felt like it didn’t complement the eyeshadows well. Nearly all of the eyeshadows in the palette were slightly powdery, with the more shimmery shades having a dry, powdery consistency, whereas the mattes were silky and soft and a wee bit powdery (but better than stiff). Most of the eyeshadows lasted for eight hours, while the blush wore well for seven and a half hours on me. This palette is exclusive to Sephora.

Rosegold Shimmer is a light-medium, orange-brown with a golden shimmer-sheen. It had decent color payoff with a fairly soft texture that was blendable. It lasted for seven and a half hours on me. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Vanilla Nuts is a light beige with subtle, neutral-to-warm undertones and a matte finish. It had good pigmentation and was only slightly powdery. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Stone Taupe is a dark, taupe brown with a matte finish. It had good color payoff with a soft, silky consistency that was a smidgen powdery. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Pewter is a murky, muted, dark green with strong brown tones and a satin finish. It had semi-opaque color payoff with a soft but powdery texture. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Deep Night is a deepened, navy blue with a muted quality and a matte finish. The pigmentation was mostly opaque, while the powder felt soft, smooth, and silky. It’s soft enough that it is messy to apply, so I’d recommend doing eyes first if you use this shade. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Topaz is a muted, medium brown with a hint of gray and a frosted sheen. It had a drier, dusty consistency that made it harder to apply and get true-to-pan color. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Morning Dew is a white-beige with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish. It is very soft and almost chalky as a result, but it will depend on skin tone on just how chalky it ends up looking on the skin. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Cashmere is a rosy mauve with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. The color coverage was opaque with a soft, blendable consistency that was easy to use and wasn’t too powdery. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Crystal Beige is a muted, medium-dark bronze brown with warm undertones and a frosted, metallic finish. This shade had nice color payoff, but the texture was drier and a little dusty to work with, which gave it a faded look applied. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Laura Mercier Watercolour Mist Eye & Cheek Palette
Laura Mercier Watercolour Mist Eye & Cheek Palette

Laura Mercier Watercolour Mist Eye & Cheek Palette ($58.00 for 0.332 oz.) contains six eyeshadows and two cheek colors. Everything about this palette was a disappointment. It’s a bit like wearing a bunch of faded, barely-there eyeshadows that just make your natural lid look muddied, dreary, and powdery. Both cheek colors were stiff and required a spatula to scrape off color to get anything to show up in a swatch, but I couldn’t get either to visibly appear on my cheeks. The eyeshadows are very soft and powdery, and unfortunately, most of them blend away to poor versions of themselves in practice. I was a bit surprised, because it swatched better than anticipated, but it was a mess trying to use this. The only way to salvage it would be use to a white, tacky/creamy base. The only nice thing about this is the packaging, which has “water’ droplets on the exterior (exactly like MAC’s Alluring Aquatic collection).

Mist is a muted, light-medium green-teal with strong gray and cool undertones. It had a satin finish. It had decent color payoff but was so soft that it sheered out to semi-sheer coverage. It was noticeably faded after five hours of wear. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Fog is a light-medium, khaki green with subtle, warm undertones and a satin finish. The texture was soft yet powdery enough that it tended to blend away to a rather sheer, faded color applied to the lid in practice. It wore well for five and a half hours on me. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Storm is a muted, overcast green with subtle, warmer undertones and a satin finish. It had semi-opaque color coverage but was prone to sheering out to a very faded, sheerer version of itself. It only wore well for six hours on me. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Wind is a soft, muted pink-lavender with hints of gray and a subtle, warmer undertone and a matte finish. The color payoff was mostly opaque, but it had a somewhat powdery texture that made it difficult to keep at that intensity–it wanted to sheer out almost instantly. It lasted for six hours on me. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Purple Rain is a cool-toned, purple-gray with a semi-matte finish. It had so-so pigmentation with a soft texture that was somewhat powdery. It was faded within six hours. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Cloud is a muted, medium-dark gray with cool undertones and a matte finish. It was powdery, semi-sheer, and lasted a mere five hours on me. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Sunset (Cheek Color) is a pink-peach with subtle warm undertones and a satin finish. I had to chip away at the pan’s surface to dislodge product with a metal spatula, because the surface was so firm and hard that it nearly felt like plastic. What I managed to scrape away ended up being chalky, powdery, and dry. I couldn’t get it to show up on my skin tone, but I did see a slightly chalky cast in person, though it seemed to disappear nearly instantly, because it was gone less than an hour later. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Earth (Cheek Color) is a medium-dark reddish brown with a satin finish. It had a similarly hard surface that required scraping to get any product out of it for swatching. It was powdery, dry, prone to fading, and incredibly difficult to blend on the skin. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
